It's here,
HAPPY 45th BARFDAY SINGAPORE! We've come a loooong way huh? Well not that long we still have got a long journey though. I am certain there'll be many many more successful years to come. We may be small but all the good surprising things come in a small package don't ya think? Lol! I'm watching the national day parade on television, it makes me especially patriotic today... Haha! I mean Singapore is really safe and democratic. Just look at the MRT stations, we actually have walking guards to protect us from terrorists. And Singaporeans being kiasu, we tend to do things before unfortunate things happen, if you know what I mean. This years it's held at the padang and I remember I went in 2005 with my cousin. It was such a last minute thing when my friend pass me the tickets in the afternoon on the actual day. It was an awesome experience, everyone was sooo semangat! But the stinky thing is that, every year I try to ballot I won't get a ticket! Not fair, I haven't get one before though. Certain things I checked on google today make me sad. Muslims in the middle east, taking granted of everything. I mean it's a modern world now and that doesn't mean a man can marry a 12 year old girl just cause the girl's parents are poor and in need of money. Doesn't mean a man who's bloody rich can marry as many woman they want. That doesn't mean woman can be abuse by husbands at any time they want. That doesn't mean if someone robbed a shop their hands are needed to cut right on the spot. That doesn't mean a parent should disown their children if they fell in love with someone who's not a Muslim, instead they should show guidance. That doesn't mean certain people can start bombing any part of the city and kill thousands of people, kids especially. Don't ya think so? That is not what being a Muslim is all about. Really it isn't. If one create a sin, its up to them and God on the judgment day. I'm glad we are democratic. A country ruling by religious believes isn't really fair don't ya think? Think about it what happens if a country rule with Christian faith? Isn't it unfair for other people who don't have the same faith? Ultimately God is universal. Religions are always positive. There isn't any religion that teaches us to be cruel unless we turn mean ourselves. Respecting each other is the key. Each religion, if you see it with an open mind always brings us to one God. I believe in mine like they believe in theirs. So why are there still people cursing each other's religions? Ah well I think I kinda over pulak.... Hahahaha! It's just that it's sad to see how the world is going around like this. So much for world peace. But all we have to do is to pray for the best and hope the best happens. Love is all the world needs. And don't get me start with the less fortunate kids, it literally bring tears to my eyes. I am gay, like that! Haah! Happy barfday once again Singapore and make sure you have a good one (: I'm glad I'm a Singaporean but that doesn't mean I wouldn't wanna go out and see the world! I do wanna, someday! Today wasn't such a Monday blues afterall (: JANNA PS: Really I don't fancy Sezairi at all. Eeks, he's never gonna be as good as Taufik. And gosh Sylvia is as good as ever. You go girl! |
